MODERN WORLD:

For Tues 1/9 Modern World History Class.  Here is the link to the Great War video.
The video should be started at 36:47, chapter entitled My Dead Chums.  Students are taking notes and should start at the same title section. There should be some extra copies on the front table. They have about 20 minutes left of the video.

The rest of the class students should use this time to read the 2nd half of their chapter, All Quiet on the Western Front.

HW: To complete the chapter on AQWF, and submit questions on Canvas. Reminder that there will be formal discussion and quiz on Fri 1/13.

US HISTORY:
Red and Purple Blocks:  Please use class time to go through the following website on Vietnam.  http://users.humboldt.edu/ogayle/hist111/vietnam.html I recommend you watch clips that are included and take notes based on the question:  Did America’s involvement in the Vietnam war spread democracy? (Abroad?  At Home?)  –What does this war tell us about American Foreign Policy?

Tell students that they will be eventually writing a post on The Vietnam War, so taking notes will be helpful.
